WHAT ARE HELICAL PILES

Helical Piles are an engineered foundation system that provide unique advantages over other foundation systems particularly in industrial, energy and infrastructure markets. Helical piles consist of a steel shaft section with strategically placed helix bearing plates that are driven to a designed depth below grade. This deep foundation type can be driven to nearly any conceivable depth through the use of segmented extensions. Once the pile is driven to the appropriate depth and the specified torque is achieved, the pile receives a pile cap and is considered complete.

HELICAL PILE ADVANTAGES

  • Fastest installation of any foundation type
  • Minimal ground disturbance
  • No vibrations
  • No spoils generated
  • Small equipment footprint & small crew size
  • Reduces construction schedule – Zero cure time and piles can be loaded immediately after installation
  • Ideal for remote locations
  • Superior long-term performance vs. shallow foundations
  • Perfect for limited access and restricted access locations
  • Pre-engineered & custom fabricated – minimizes field construction and quality issues
  • Can be removed & reused for site changes or temporary installations
  • Verified pile capacity immediately upon installation
